ABOUT CARTER & CO CANDLES
Each Carter & Co Candle is hand-poured using American grown soy bean wax, infused with premium fragrance oils, with a braided cotton wick to ensure a clean and even burn. Our fragrance oils are free of phthalates, carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and other potentially hazardous chemicals.

CANDLE CARE
Following these simple steps will assist you in obtaining a clean, even burn and a longer candle life. 8oz candle has a burn time of 40+ hours and the 16oz candle has a burn time of 80+ hours, with proper care and attention.
Prior to each burn, always trim your wick to 1/4". Trimming your wick is essential to candle life. Trimming your wick is best completed by using designated wick trimmers or scissors. This may also be completed by simply breaking off the wick using your fingers.
The first time you light your candle is the most important! Always allow your candle to reach a full melt pool with each burn. This is accomplished by allowing the wax to melt fully to the edge of the jar. Reaching a full melt pool can take upwards of 2 hours. Extinguishing your candle prior to reaching a full melt pool can cause the candle to tunnel with each new burn. No allowing a full melt pool to be obtained with your first burn can shorten your candle life and leave access wax in the jar.
Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours.
Burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, away from children, pets, drafts, and anything flammable. Always burn within site and never unattended. Once your candle reaches 1/2" of wax remaining, stop burning it. Continuing to burn your candle past this point is a fire hazard.
